What size Synology do I need?
Depends on your data, growth rate, and workload. A 4-bay unit handles many small offices. A 12-bay rackmount suits growing companies. We'll help you right-size—overselling doesn't help anyone.
Can Synology replace our Windows file server?
Usually, yes. Synology integrates with Active Directory, supports SMB/CIFS, and handles permissions the way you'd expect. Most clients find it simpler to manage.
What about backups?
Active Backup for Business is included—no extra licensing. It backs up Windows, Mac, Linux, VMware, Hyper-V, and Microsoft 365. We configure it as part of deployment.
How does pricing work?
You buy the hardware outright. Software is included. No annual subscriptions for core features. We quote implementation and optional ongoing support separately.
Do you support Synology we didn't buy from you?
Yes. If you have existing Synology units that need configuration, optimization, or monitoring, we can help.
What's the warranty situation?
Synology units come with 3-5 year warranties depending on model. We handle warranty claims if something fails—you don't chase Synology yourself.
